Danger in Beauty

The 14th July Glacier in Svalbard is an amazing place. Beautiful but with the constant threat of ice shearing from the face, causing a mini tsunami or in our case, one of our party stepping onto a snow covered crevasse and plummeting all of 3 feet before being caught by his backpack straps and pulled out, alive, but slightly shaken.

Beauty and danger. A heady mix!
