CIA
Today started well when we eventually got an email telling us we had had some second chance luck. We got the email on the way to a family fun day at the city museum. I had not paid much attention to what the fun day was about so I was quite surprised to find out it was a CIA family fun day and picnic. CIA as in Caribbean Island Association that is.
It was good fun but quite strange. For example the steel band, and drummers were really good and the children really enjoyed dancing but when a nine year old girl, who could sing very well, started belting out the standard rock version of Sweet Child Of Mine I was concerned something had been put in the fruit punch.
On the way home we met some friends for a beach side coffee and discussed olympic dreams. I have to say that , even after being lucky enough to get some tickets to events (not originally considered but very pleased with) the whole ticketing thing has been done quite badly. Someone put it well today, its not olympic tickets but ticket olympics. Lets just hope the games are as competetive and that more than a third of British entries have success.
