Two poppies
Got up early this morning. Finished off one smallish project before packing my suitcase to leave for Seehausen and London later on in the afternoon.
It's my dad's birthday today. My dad's wife had organized a surprise party for him and asked a lot of my dad friends to come. First I wasn't sure whether I could make it as I had actually planned on going to London today already. As I managed to find another connection from Hanover instead, I told her I'd be there.
I even arrived on time which is quite an achievement considering I am often late for birthday parties or other events. By 7.30pm we were almost 40 people squeezed into this small pub waiting for my dad to show up :) It was really fun to see grown ups getting all excited. I must say it was very hard to get them to hide and be quiet! Worse than teenagers ;)
Finally my dad, P and my little sister arrived. Once they got in everybody jumped up and started singing happy birthday. I've rarely seen my dad this happy and excited. He couldn't believe that so many people had come .. and he was even surprised to see me! LOL
It was a fun night!
You might wonder why I chose to blip two poppies instead of my dad's party. I must admit that I was happy to simply enjoy the party as it was without having to worry about blipping or photographing. Sometimes life is more important I guess.
