Passing Time

This is a sculpture at the entrance way to the Christchurch Polytechnic School.
It was made in 2010 by Anton Parsons - and is called 'Passing Time'.
The view is looking north up High Street, which is not accessible because of the earthquake damage. This is the red zone in the inner city. It is very hard to see the damage here but there are many facades and walls down, mainly of the older type buildings.
I think that it is more a numbers game where everyone is waiting decisions to be made as to what and when to demolish, so everything can go forward again.
