Me, myself & I

The Sanctions

No I wasn't at Glastonbury although you could be mistaken for thinking I was!

The Sanctions were part of the live entertainment Saturday evening at Scoutabout 2011, a weekend of activities for 6,500 Surrey Scouts and Guides.

Us Leaders thought we would just go and see what the evening entertainment was all about. There were three live bands the second of which, The Sanctions, were brilliant! In their first set they played lots of old covers of Understones, Police, The Jam, Blondie, etc, definitely our type of music. So we danced and sang and embarrassed our Guides!

We went back for their second set when they played some more modern music - Kaiser Chiefs, Green Day, etc.

Even though by their own admission The Sanctions were older than their audience of mainly teenage boys and girls (but not us middle age groupies!) they really seemed to connect with them.

Brilliant weekend!!
