Knocknagel Substation

Under construction near Essich just out of Inverness to the SW. Taken from the road to Dunlichity. It covers quite an area and my first thoughts were that it was something to do with the new power line from Beauly to Denny which many people objected to because of the size of the proposed pylons. But although I'm not certain it could be to do with the upgrade of the line from Beauly to Blackhillock in Moray. There's been a lot of publicity about the Beauly - Denny line but they never seem to explain why Beauly. Where does Beauly get all this energy from that it's so anxious to send south? And if it comes from further north (Pentland Firth generators?) or west why is nobody making a fuss about those power lines.
