Carride Reflections

Today's Adventure ... reflecting on yesterday's race and how great it is to be apart of such a good team ...

Borderline crippled from yesterday's run, I sit comfortably nested in the backseat of Julia's CRV. Listening to music, my mind wanders as I stare at the encouraging sentiment drawn on the car window for us as we race "Not fast enough."

We went into this race with little training and more of a "lets just have fun" attitude. We did have fun, but after we realized we had a shot a placing in the early stages of the race we all kicked it into high gear.

100 miles we battled a great team from Glacier National Park for third. It came down to the last 50 feet or so and we took 3rd. Not fast enough? PSHAW I think we were an adequate amount of fast...we all just cannot walk normally today...
