Rockers Basketball...Half Time
My husband wears many hats. Worship leader at our church and basketball coach being two of them. He coach's aau basketball for girls who will be entering their first year in high school. This weekend the tourament was at the Jersey shore. Normally we would of had to travel back from Jersey to Philly, a two hour ride, so he could do his worships services which are on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings and than return for the Sunday afternoon game. Got to do what you got to do. As it turned out he lost his voice towards the end of the week so he wasn't able to sing which gave us the opportunity to just stay there, have a long weekend and make it a minny vacation in between games.
It's kinda a family thing, this basketball thing. Our daughter played basketball in school and now being out of school she is his assistant coach and I am the one who keeps the books. I was never one who played or even like sports growing up, but between my husband and my daughter I have learn to love basketball.
This was our last tournments for the year. The last of anything is always bitter sweet, but it ended on such a sweet note. We had four games and we won them all...Good job Rockers...looking forward to next year.
...And my I say a big thank you for the praise team for holding it all together back home...and my husband did, eventually get his voice back...
