Giants

Hiked our Mt Si this morning - it is a 4 mile only up trail and a quick 45 minutes from the center of Seattle. If you are on the trail by 7 as we were, you can actually hike in quiet, listening to birds and high up the soft whisper of pines in the breeze. This giant tree is one of a few left from a 1910 fire that took out most of what would be the giants on the east side of the mountain, the side the trail climbs.

We were home by noon and I headed on my bike to the studio to clean the bathrooms for my rent discount, and then work a bit on 3 small canvases. I rolled onto the dock a tired gal. But what a great day!
