Roots
I haven't taken photos for a long time. I don't remember being into these up close plant photos -- but this is where my journey seems to be starting this time! I started out taking a photo of a plant on a windowsill in the staff kitchen area -- one of those neglected spots but this plant was very happy. I ended up w/ a focus on the roots drifting inside the glass vase. I enjoyed the whole process of noticing the plant, taking basically a nice snapshot and then moving in ever closer -- focusing on different details. Reminded me of what I used to enjoy about taking photos -- of trying to discover something in what is presented to me in the moment. Nothing has been changed here -- I haven't cropped or added effects or changed lighting or staged the setting -- the same w/ my pix yesterday. I really enjoy that peeling away of the clutter that clouds the present.
Thanks to all who made such encouraging comments on my first pix yesterday!
