The Church Cat.

He's not literally the church's cat, he just spends a lot of time in their grounds. He's got a large manor 'round and about here, stealthily crawling in our back green in search of prey. I've seen him on the wrong end of a blackbird, scarpering at full pelt across the car park under screeching black wings. I've seen him just hang out, sunning himself if we had any sun.

He's also nonchalant in the face of traffic, often sauntering across the road without a care in the world.

Which is how I encountered him today, just pottering.
