Effi's van

In backpacker circles this van is famous.

Effi is now the owner. You can see where a broken window on the side has been replaced with a metal plate. It's kind of cool contrasting against the Freisan cow paint job and pink wheels.

View large and appreciate the carefully bound wing mirror complete with bracing sticks and red electrical tape.

A lot of people have cared for this van and now it's Effis'. Effi is a German architecture student in NZ for a year. I'm hugely impressed he's decided to make Christchurch home for a couple of months, working on earthquake remediation at the university.

The van has become a legend amongst backpackers. Effi knew about it well before he bought it. We're glad you've come to Christchurch Effi. Thanks.
