We had a very long day of driving today, driving from the South up to the North in order to visit my family. It was also 30 degrees which isn't much fun when you're stuck in a car with two small children and a husband who is feeling delicate as he has been on a Stag Do all weekend.

Whenever I see the Angel of the North I know I'm home. When it was first put up in 1998 I really didn't like it, but over the years it has grown on me and now I am very fond of it.

As it had been a long day I didn't want to stop the car to get a photo of it, so the blip is of quite poor quality as it was taken from the window when we were moving. One day I will try and get a decent photo of it.
