Reclaiming the talents of my youth!!!!!

It arrived today ..... my new digital piano. I'm loving it already, although I'm not yet ready to be heard in public.

Went piano shopping with Mr Mags on Saturday afternoon, but only after I had had a wee practice on his baby grand. However, I quickly realised that the "Ugly Bug Ball" was maybe not the kind of piece you play when you are trying out pianos in public - nor my particular version, with many of the notes either missing or 'incorrectly chosen'! SO what do you do? You take your trump card with you - Mr Mags! When he plays, he sounds liked the pre-recorded pieces you just press a button for ..... only better!! He was also able to ask the technical questions and then explain the assistant's answers to me!

I have been meaning to start playing again for ages. I need to reclaim a bit of co-ordination, sharpen my sight reading and develop a better understanding of chord sequences. Unfortunately for the neighbours, I haven't bought headphones, but I know my limitations and how far I can push them!!

Mum and dad will be pleased that all the years of piano lessons haven't been wasted!
