Capelin are rolling in...

The local practice is to go to the beach and scoop the capelin up in nets or whatever is available, as the capelin "roll in" in the millions each year at the end of June or in early July.
So the capelin are just in time on the Middle Cove Beach and there was a crowd there today. It was my first time seeing this. The unidentified boy in the photo had so many capelins in his net that the handle came off.
