Box of Treasures

...just one of many in our garage that we have collected and stored over the years for our children. Our oldest daughter has possession of her own things these days, but we still have many of our son's and youngest daughter's boxes. They are taking some time this summer to wade through them. Tonight it was fun watching our son dig through one of his boxes...reliving childhood memories from kindergarten through high school. Quite a few of the things he kept, some I kept, others set aside to share with his nephew, and a large pile ended up in recycling. Here he is modeling an Indian Vest (made from a brown paper bag) he made in grade school for a Thanksgiving feast they had in their classroom...I was able to snap a picture of him in it right before the entire thing ripped up the back and got added to the pile for recycle.

A fun evening was had with our visit with them.
