Danger Money......
When Europeans came to this area they planted many European trees.....Pines were especially favoured.....but these days they're considered feral,because they grow to such enormous heights,don't allow anything,let alone native species,to grow and take so much water....consequently those who can afford it are having them removed (approx $6000 a tree)....I have 40 along my fence line on the neighbours side,and don't think they'll be going anywhere very quickly.
This guy was SO high....a tree a day been taken down....to be replaced with natives.
This was as close as I could get with my lens....
I would say these guys earn every cent.
