I have sometimes enjoyed the privacy of the ugly roof balcony, meant for taking out the carpet and such, to sit in the evening sun for a while. Today I went there for the last time, and noticed a bush growing in the middle. There were at least three pioneer species trying to start a forest. Good luck to them.
