Round the Island

Just coming up to the Easterly Cardinal near Bembridge during the ISC 2011 Round the Island Race, we are doing well but being closed down by bigger boats.... still first of type across the line and a great result in class too.

The weather was pretty harsh (30 knot winds down the back straight to the south of the island!), but made for excellent race/sailing conditions. We saw a lot of unfortunate dis-mastings - one even before getting across the start line!

All in all it was a great day - thanks again to Ian for allowing me aboard and to Stewart for relinquishing his normal place...
