This is a stair case in EDINBURGH.Thy go from the old town[lockely known as the bridges]to the back of the waverly station. This is the main raiway station.
For many years the stairs have been you'sd by homeless for the night. That is why
no one went near them Now the council have spent £150,000 renewing them.
A differant marble on every step was the idea of MARTIN CREED FROM GLASGOW. HE had won the turner prize in 2001.His winning entry was a light going of and on in a
warehouse. The steps were built in 1899 with sand stone and tiles on the walls.
There is about forty steps. Many years ago thy ran a art for sale show on the walls during the EDINBURG FESTIVAL. The stairs have now gates both ends, that are locked evry night. This is my son,he has two legs.
