Push chair breaching the divide
My last chance to see Doris's crack before they get the Polyfilla out on Friday.
I really loved this piece of work, beautiful in a two and three dimensional sense. The structure of it is so classical. For the first time I had a look at what she had to say about it on the Tate website. It's about intrusion (obviously) but also about racial divide (which I didn't quite get in the same way)
Doris I will miss you at Tate Modern in the same way I miss Anthony Gormley's figures around town. You have become part of the fabric of London.
I will go back after the plaster has set and see whether your legacy remains etched on the floor.
