Birthday Surprise

Trying to keep from giggling, we all huddled in a small room as we waited for Dton to come downstairs. It was just past midnight on his birthday. As the door opened, a bucket full of baby powder dumped on his head and filled the room with dust. Laughter filled the room just as quick as the powder.

Thais love baby powder. Everyone I know uses it everyday to stay dry for a little longer in this humid climate. It's also used for jokes like today or to make a scary white face for someone hiding in the closet. When playing group games, often the looser will get a powdered face.
