Come fly with me
My Auntie Rosemary gave me the keys to her car today (what was she thinking?) so as the 3 of us could drive off into the sunset. Before heading off on the three day open-road trip down the Great Ocean Road we met up again with the eldest Ozzy cuz, Mark.
He's some character when a 12-year old malt needs its erse skelped.
Anyway he was kind enough to let us fly one of his 20-odd airplanes. He runs his airline business in 3 divisons...... air charter, air tours and his flying school.
The flying school is the one that excites me.....mmmm......boy did I enjoy being up at the controls of Skyhawk II at 1500 feet in the haze.
This wee buzz around Port Phillip Bay, Hobson Bay, the city and the suburbs up to Frankston gave me a real taste for flying.
This shot from the plane shows how the city is laid out by the Yarra River. I love the mix of the old and new cultures and architecture here. The Victorian buildings then the cricket ground. Traditional styles like Flinders Street station and the churches sat in front of the skyscrapers. Classy city.
