Things that Grow in the Night

Yesterday it wasn't there. This morning it was. Fungi never cease to amaze me, not only in their variety but in their ability to appear suddenly and then to vanish again until next time. It's almost as if they lurk there underground, laying plans to re-appear at the most surprising time.
