Scottish Soldiers

I was passing through the Cannongate this morning and stopped to see some of the preparations for the official opening of the Scottish Parliament. Much standing to attention, standing at ease etc. However my innate republicanism overwhelmed my admiration for pomp and ceremony and I moved on before the queen drove the 200 yards from Holyrood Palace to the Parliament entrance.
