Floating

This is how I feel today.

I didn't mean to post only photos of Caroline to my blip this week. But Evie wasn't hanging out with me this afternoon. She wanted to go to kid's club and Caroline, as per usual, just wanted to swim all day long.
I, on the other hand, wanted to sleep. So I slept out by the pool for as long as I could.

The girls got their hair braided today. Sweet, happy Evie..

I had an amazing massage at 9am followed by a deluxe pedicure. I really cannot get enough pedicures. They are my favorite.
Case in point.. when I do well on an exam, I reward myself with a pedicure. Of course, if I do not do well on an exam, I cheer myself up with a delicious steak. So... either way, I win. But the steak is more of a consolation prize. I have to earn my pedicures.

My last full day. Che tristezza veramente. Once again, so sad to leave.
Mauricio* took me to the Jellyfish Restaurant tonight. The upper level is just private little chaises with pillows and curtains and the breeze from the beach just flows all around you. The drinks were excellent too. Note to self: the caipirinhas are crazy strong. What a cool place though.. a little on the creepy side to get to, but amazing once you're there. Guarded by guys with shotguns, naturally.
The Dominican Republic is a jungle, after all. I didn't get to take half the photos that I wanted to take. I was disconcentrated by other things. So.. on my next adventure to the island, I'll still have more things to take photos of.

So the end my inception-style dreams-within-dreams is coming to a close. That's been one of my favorite parts of my vacation. (and, thankfully, not malarone-related since I'm off my malaria meds..) but there are so many favorite parts... It's a nice problem to have.

*yeah, the quality of that photo is crap. way underexposed (is an understatement).. but I liked it nonetheless.
