Tuppence
After a trying week, today was fun. As part of some iniative or other called 'Money Week', the whole school were learning about finanace, culminating in today's events. To start the day, we were attempting to cover a part of the playground with coppers; then in the afternoon, each class ran an enterprise to turn the maximum profit from £5. It was, in the end, great fun. Year Six became 'Glam-'r'-Us, The Spa in the Garden', offering a range of beauty and therapeutic treatments. Nail-painting, facials, make-up, hair styling, colour and gel, neck and head massages, tattoos (temporary) and henna patterns were all available. We turned in a creditable £80 profit, though others did even better.
Altogether we must have raised over £400 for our school charity which supports a school in Kenya.
