The long road to backing a horse

Johanna is in the process of backing Jensen the horse - who has been blipped many times - and no, not in the 2:15 at Ascot sense, rather the process of getting him ready to ride. This involves leaning on his back to get him used to the weight and today she started another exercise involving going from mounting block (blipped during its construction here) briefly sitting on him then going off the other side ... this shot captures the first actual crossing. Hopefully before too long he will be comfortable enough with this to let her sit on top.

The journey from birth to backing is a long one ... Jensen is 4 now (so officially a stallion and not a colt) ... and he's only just ready to be backed now.
