Sports Day

I missed it, but hubby was there to take some pics, so I have to admit to using his raw material for my blip today.

It wasn't the blip I meant to upload either.

I meant to share a moment of silence from this evening, when the boys were at the school disco, hubby was out fishing, I came home from work earlier than 9pm (first time this week), a glass of cold cider was poured and Caitlin Moran's new book was on my kindle. But.... Its so much easier to describe and imagine than it is to capture in a photo, so none made the cut.

Despite the jolt back to reality that happened when I picked them up its been quite lovely with just me and the boys this evening - we even managed to light a small fire in the chiminea (see hubby I can burn things too) and then settled in to watch the top 50 magic tricks before tiddler fell asleep and even eldest was fighting it.

All is quiet again - I await a triumphant, and probably slightly tipsy, fisherman home at some point.
