Canada Day

Remember the brave Newfoundlanders - on this day in 1916 the Royal Newfoundland Regiment suffered tremendous loss at Beaumont-Hamel. Of 780 men only 68 made roll call.
Here, July 1st is Memorial Day for the morning and wreaths are laid at the War Memorial (pictured here). Then we get ready to do the Canada Day thing, bbq and fireworks. Since I work tomorrow morning, I will have a quiet evening at home.
