Reflections on Berlin

I was thinking today about the last time I was in Berlin, about 2001 I think.... around then.

We stayed in the former East Berlin, across the road from Tacheles and spent our time looking at art and drinking in cool bars.

The west of the city however, I remember being covered in cranes and building work as companies rushed to redevelop and expand existing businesses.

This view reminded me of those memories and those differences.
