Undertaker

All day, as we were making arrangements for the funeral a thought has just kept popping into my head, and it is "I never thought I'd be wearing this dress when I was talking to an undertaker about my grandad". Very odd indeed. As if it mattered.

Today I have discovered that my brother shares a birthday with our great granny, Flora and also that my grandad's granny's maiden name was Neil - and this is probably where he got his name from. The fruit of examining birth, death and marriage certificates. I cannot even begin to grasp that he has died - I want to tell him about Liam and Flora. But then, what with his amazing memory for numbers be probably already knew. I hope so.
