Brighton West Pier

Back blip:

Silly hot day. Got up at 4.45 to catch the early flight and traveled down to London City with the usual flight delays etc. Then on to St Albans where the man had a bit of work to do. Had intended to explore but by the time we arrived at the station I looked like a beetroot so opted for the quiet seat in a corner instead. All done and onto Brighton.

Arrived at St Albans station to find that the heat had brought that line to a stop - and a signalling failure had knocked the trains off over much of London. So, quick jump over to Hatfield and got a train into the centre there then "squeezed" onto another train heading south. Had thought we would have to spend the night in the city, but arrived at Brighton in time to have fish n chips as the sun did her final dance.

This view was much appreciated after a hot and sticky day.
