Your fading light

I got some awfully bad news today
I'm not sure how to take it
I mean, I'm not that close to him, so it won't hurt as much to lose him
But it still hurts
After all...he's the only one I've got left
And I know I'll miss him once he's gone

I'm not going to see him. I don't want to see him like this.
I just want to...talk.
Not to him. He doesn't remember my name sometimes. And he's mean when he's in so much pain.

It's times like this where I really need a friend. And I wish you were here tonight.
