Cirsium

I have huge clumps of cirsium in the garden (its hard not to it spreads so much!) But I absoloutely love these tall flowers that come up in early june and flower for ages, the bees love them too and they are always buzzing from flower to flower.

They are starting to go to seed now and I think they look absoloutely beautiful, they send hundreds of these little seeds floating around the garden, they get everywhere, you see them in spiders webs and trapped in amoungst other flowers and plants and as I sat out today they just get drifting around in front of us. I am sure the neighbours are not too chuffed though:)
