Barrel Aging

Spent the day at Pearmund, a little winery in Virginia, managed by a friend of ours. Their main grape is chardonay.

We did a lot of "degustation" -- in fact about 15 assorted wines, whites and reds. Each successive wine tasted better than the previous one (interesting business model, non?). We left with a trunk full of wine (and a lighter wallet) but my wine cave is now replenished. I think I'll sleep well tonite!
