Flat Calm

The view of the lake, from Bowness, at 7am this morning before Tri Windermere. If you can have perfect conditions for a race, these would be they.

The swim was actually enjoyable, as was the rest of the race. Finished in an unexpected 8th overall from a field of 200. VERY happy! :-) The bike leg was a bit weird as I saw pretty much nobody out on the course - turns out there were folk in front but the course was so lumpy and twisty that I guess they were always lurking around a bend. All of this made it pretty tough to gauge where I was in the order of things. The multilap run didn't help either.
