Fun at Fullarton Woods!

Apologies for being AWOL for so long ~ dropping my phone in the bath cut short my Blips!

We are on holiday in Troon, where my Dad was born and raised. I have a lifetime of fabulous memories of family time spent here, tinged with the sadness of losing Great Aunts, Uncles & my Gran over the last few years. All of them would have doted on our girls and I know that would be reciprocated.

We come annually to Troon to meet up with family who are now spread far & wide throughout the UK ~ it is always so good to catch up, but the time flies by and the reunion is over again! Mixed up in the enjoyment of spending time together is decades of shared memories of the older generation who are sadly no longer with us.

I did spend a little bit of time thinking about Eilidh Beth ~ last time we were all together we were assuming she would be with us this year. And then watching the girls here at Fullarton Woods, or at the beach, I remember thinking last year about the fun our baby lass would have watching her sisters.

Anyway, I'm sure she had a giggle in Heaven at todays shenanigans! Picture the scene ... 2 grown men (Daddy & Uncle Leh-Leh) struggling to launch a Winnie The Pooh kite and get it to fly, only to find that they can't. So the 6 yr old lass they were trying to assist grabs the line runs ... and gets the kite to fly! Where is the video camera when you need it??

And I had a lovely surprise when fellow blogger & Blipper, Hel, appeared, looking gorgeous despite saying she was burnt ~ it's turning a lovely tan, Hel!
