Crash Landing

Last evening we heard a sound like fireworks and then a big boom. We figured it was just neighbors celebrating The Fourth of July. When we saw a big cloud of dust in the field behind us we realized a tree in the woods had come down. It broke limbs off another maple on it's way down. I couldn't decide on a picture to post today but chose one of the fallen limbs with lichens, moss and who knows what else growing on it.
