Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae)

Having a bit of a butterfly snapping phase at the moment. Saw loads on just a short walk at lunch. Painted Lady, Meadow Brown, Ringlet and Marbled White.

Really wanted to post the Painted Lady as todays pic but this one came out better.

I remember as a kid all we used to see were tortoiseshells. Not so much nowadays.
