'Chim Chim Cher-Ee!'
Chimmney Sweeper moth (wing span approx 2.5cm). After tip-toeing through the heather and grass for two hours at Mugdock, I managed to capture this day flying moth.
Also spotted were hundreds of Ringlets (although I don't know what type), a Small Heath (too fast to capture) and this very hungry bug, dragging a caterpillar back to its lair! Also found a mole and a buzzard.
Glorious day again. Joe and Harry have crashed out on the couch and I would join them if there were room.
Apologies for my rather factual and boring write up today! I've gone all old fashioned nature programme.
Lovely day to all.
