City Walls

If you've been to York and haven't walked on the city walls, you haven't really been. You get such a great perspective - there's something timeless about them, whether you're looking down on the Deanery gardens and Minster houses, or whether you're looking at a large and busy (for York) roundabout.

I don't do it very often, but I was passing a bar* this afternoon with my camera in my bag, so I thought I'd pop up and have a go at capturing something city-wallsish.






*A bar as in a place where the walls go over the road and there are steps up onto the walls. Not a place selling a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Though I passed plenty of them this afternoon too, they don't give such a good 'feel' of York.
