Topping up my tan
Oh boy, after my busy day yesterday I have been pretty tired today. Here I am in the garden at lunchtime enjoying the sun :-)
I am really missing my doggie blip friends today and I am missing being in the water! I LOVE the water as you know. I must tell you about my walk this morning. Mum said, "just a quiet walk on the lead Lily, you had a busy day yesterday so we need to rest your muscles" hummmpppphhh, I thought. How boring. Anyway, mum took me to the seafront, now normally our seafront doesn't have any sea because the tide goes out for MILES, but this morning it was in! In fact I knew the tide was in as soon as I got out of the car, even before mum could see it! My nose was in the air, sniffing and I pulled mum REALLY hard to get to the beach. I wasn't going to stop for ANYONE. I am addicted to the water I am. As soon as mum let me off the lead (she really didn't have any choice) I ran down to the shore and waited for her to throw something in for me to swim for. I waited and I waited, I waited and I waited, then I waited some more. I stared at her, I ran along beside her then back to the sea but do you know what? she is soooo boring, she didn't bring anything to throw for me. She just carried on walking and left me standing there.
So I took matters into my own hands. I scanned the sea, looking for something, ANYTHING to jump in for and YAY I found it. There was a lovely bit of seaweed floating around! So I LEAPT in and went and got it for mum. She really wasn't impressed enough, she just said LEAVE IT. Hee, hee, but at least I got my swim.
I have been really quite tired tonight. I have been to my agility training and it was GREAT to start with but everso hot. I was doing a new thing where I stand with 2 paws on the pooffy and walk around with my back paws. In took a LONG time to get the hang of it. Mum was all in a muddle with all the things in her hands, the bag of chicken, the lead, the clicker. Then I grabbed the WHOLE bag of chicken and ran off with it.....Hee heeeeee! There was chicken falling out EVERYWHERE and all the other doggies were very excited. When mum finally caught me the chicken had to go away and I had some time out to calm down.
Then we did the jumps and tunnel again. The first time I did it beautifully but the second time I was a bit fed up, I was hot, I was tired and I had eaten quite a bit of chicken by then. When I got to the tunnel I just wandered into it and had a sniff around in the middle. I thought I would stay in there for a while. It was good in there. It was cool and quiet and no one could tell me what to do. I could hear mum at the end of the tunnel, doing a merry dance and the chicken holler but NAH, I didn't fancy playing tonight. They made the tunnel longer with a bend in it too, so I had a good old time in there before I came out to a red faced, worn out mum *giggle*
I think I might have made a boyfriend at class. He is called Blue and he is a 10 month old Collie. He is SOOOOOO HANDSOME. He has one half of his face white and the other black. One ear is up the other down and he has the most dreamy blue eyes EVER. We did a bit of kissing tonight. I think that might be why I couldn't concentrate perhaps?!
Well I must go for now, I am VERY tired and tomorrow is a big day for me??!
Bye for now
