The Cheese Grater

This is one of my favourite new buildings in Sheffield, known locally as the Cheese Grater.
It's actually a multi-storey car park in the city centre.
I love the way that on a quick glance, my eyes find it difficult to find and instant focal point.
It's not at it's best today. It impresses most in the sunlight, with light glinting off it at different angles and the green highlights showing much clearer.
There are some stunning buildings going up in Sheffield at the moment. Shame about the featureless, bland ones, including the tower on Conran designed apartments next to this car park (the tallest building in town, but also one of the blandest).
