Secondary school day

Today, all the local kids got to spend the day at the secondary school that they will be attending in September. Here's my daughter and her friend in their new PE kit ion the way to school. Both have very happy faces. When I picked them up at 3pm, their faces looked very different. They have not been put in the same class and were really upset about it.
We had a very long talk afterwards and I explained that the class room is a place to learn and her friend will always be her friend regardless of which class she is in.
In the evening, there was a parent's meeting at the school. I bumped into so many people I used to know from various circles.
