Ullswater

First day of our holiday - the greyest of them all, apart from driving down in the rain Saturday. Went for a two-week early anniversary treat - afternoon tea at the Michelin-starred Sharrow Bay Hotel on Ullswater. Beautiful place, great views (and gardens) and a lovely tea - though a bit pricey for what you get! Was a nice treat though, followed by a drive up beautiful and wild Martindale where the weather improved. Lovely start to the holiday!
