Keswick & Derwentwater

Walked up the valley between Skiddaw and Blencathra then over Latrigg, with stunning views across Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake and the hills beyond. I'm going to try to turn some of them into a panorama. Also got some nice shots of yellowhammers and wheatears and a great view of two Ospreys from Whinlatter cruising around not far from Latrigg.

Our friend Kate arrived in the evening to join us for the rest of the week, which was great as we've not seen her for ages! Enjoyed a beautiful walk just before sunset to Friar's Crag on the lake, as her introduction to the Lakes....
