Working through the night

I don't envy the life of a contractor, especially this year when we've only had a handful of sunny days in which to cram all their hay and silage making work. Not many people round here have all the machinery necessary to cut and bale the grass that will feed their stock through the winter so they pay contractors to do a lot of the work for them. This year the window of good weather has been unusually small and when the sun came out last week everyone and his dog would have been on the phone. They are often seen starting work at first light and working into the dark, and that's a long day at this time of year. This photo was taken at 11.30pm.
