"The Fun Ship"

Took a scenic route back from Chester today and spotted this ship at Llanerch-y-Mor, near Mostyn. She is the TSS Duke Of Lacaster, originally built for British Rail as a combined passanger ferry and cruise ship in 1956, she was retired in 1979 and sealed into a dry-dock at Mostyn. The company who had bought her had intended to use her as a "fun ship", with a 300 room hotel and various entertainments on board but the near-by railway made access impossible so the idea was abandoned. Apparently she is still maintained inside.
