COME ON DOWN

A FEW weeks ago ,a envelope come through the door.IT was a invitation to the
QUEENS GARDEN PARTY.We were nominated by the next door neighbour.
And day of all days it landed on my silver wedding day.You were not aloud a camera,so Icould'nt show what it looked like.We qued out side the park ,at
three in the after noon.there was a little rain. Eventuality we walked in to army
bands playing on the grass.Large food tents came into view.Every thing was well
organized as you would exspect.About four o'clock the ROYAL ARCHERS[THE QUEENS BODY GUARD IN SCOTLAND,ONLY FOR SHOW NOWADAYS]
lined up beside posts that had been laid out in four rows.This made two long
avenues that the people [AROUND 2,OOO PEOPLE IT MIGHT EVEN BEEN MORE] stood behind.Leaving the palace the queen and duke seperated,
the duke came down our one.Some people were asked to stand out to meet them,
not us.There was a special tent also for realy special people. The day ended with more tea or a small tub of ice cream. We left at six o'clock.Went strait to the MOUNT
ROYAL HOTEL,where we met 26 years ago.There was my son and my brother
in law.We had a lovely meal to celebrateour aniversiry[25] then we all went
home . FANTASTIC DAY.
